The date-me doc is a sort of indie alternative to a more traditional dating app profile. If you came here from dateme.directory, you already know this, of course. As a real true dating app hater, I thought it might be fun to try to put one of them together.

I am a very happy solo person, and I don't think I absolutely *need* a partner to be happy and fulfilled in life.
That said, there are some things that I do enjoy that are just much more fun with another person: going to a diner and drinking a chocolate milkshake, doing the jitterbug, taking a nap on the beach on a summer afternoon...

Location: I am looking to stay in Connecticut (or at least New England) for the next ten years at least. Connecticut has a bad reputation as the too-expensive corporate gutter between NYC and Boston. And maybe it is a too-expensive gutter, but it's my too-expensive gutter, and I've grown quite fond of bits of it.
Pets, kids, and all that: I would quite like to have several of my own cats. I would also enjoy a medium size dog if I was not the primary carer for it. Open to discussing other pets but I dislike parakeets and ferrets. If the circumstances end up being favorable sometime between 2030 and 2040, I am considering having exactly one child.
